We are currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Senior Project Manager at Benhar Office Interiors. office-interiors-senior-project-managerAs a rapidly growing office furniture dealer in the NYC area, we need someone who is both knowledgeable in the office furniture and interiors space and also accustomed to a fast-paced work environment.

What is a Senior Project Manager responsible for at Benhar Office Interiors?

For Project Work, he/she will be expected to:

  • Act as the principal contact for clients, architects/designers and general contractors throughout the duration of a project
  • Develop typicals for workstations and private offices
  • Obtain product specification and discount information
  • Negotiate labor pricing, issue quotations & collect deposits
  • Divide all furniture deliveries into a phased schedule prior to order placement
  • Convert quotation to order, making all necessary notations for various manufacturers
  • Verify site dimensions, floor marking,& accuracy of installation drawings
  • Attend project meetings
  • Monitor manufacturers’ ship dates, manage site deliveries, & maintain product inventory lists
  • Develop delivery/installation schedules per client requirements
  • Monitor furniture status reports with assistant on weekly basis
  • Maintain & confirm elevator schedule
  • Confirm insurance certificates are completed
  • Manage product delivery & coordinate installation schedule in conjunction with other trades
  • Be present on-site during installation
  • Solve problems creatively to coordinate any on-site changes with installers
  • Implement all necessary facets of punch list

For Day-to-Day Client business, he/she is expected to:

  • Create quotes for clients
  • Obtain specifications, prices, discounts & freights from manufacturers
  • Get labor quotes
  • Collect deposits & convert quotes to orders
  • Work with assistant to coordinate sending out samples, loaners, cut-sheets, etc.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations
  • Schedule & attend key deliveries and installations
  • Maintain & assist in the development of status reports with assistant
  • Respond to any customer requests in a timely manner

In addition, the following capabilities are not required, but are preferred:

  • Account Management experience in office contract furniture industry
  • Experience with Herman Miller Products, specifically with Herman Miller Office Systems and high quality office furniture
  • Flexibility to handle multiple projects with many moving parts
  • Ability to work as part of a rapidly growing office furniture dealer
